DATOS DE INTERÉS: Basada en un hecho real, el film de Jean Negulesco arroja demasiada luz sobre su final por culpa de su título. Es destacable la humanización de los combatientes japoneses, generalmente presentados como villanos sin alma ni escrúpulos. La película se basa en las memorias de Agnes Newton Keith, a la que interpreta magníficamente Claudette Colbert.
